Before anything else, a panel
Milan. 2026.
The first image of Still Running is not a place. It is a surface. Perforated metal panels layered at different focal distances — the abstraction is near-total, no location, no context, no human presence. I chose it to open the project because it asks nothing of you. It only shows a system repeating itself, indifferent to being observed.
Basilico spent years in front of factories that had already stopped working. What I take from him is not the subject — it is the patience. The willingness to stand in front of something until it stops performing and starts simply being.
Still Running begins here. One image per week through November. A fanzine and fine art prints in autumn. This letter, once a month, when there is something worth saying.
